Oh Athens, the food and the memories.

We spent yesterday in one of our favorite spots, Athens! We couldn’t leave Georgia without reminiscing or eating in our favorite college town. Go Dawgs!! So we boarded Falcor (our Ford Focus) and headed east. Our first stop, Last Resort Grill of course. They make the BEST fried green tomato sandwich! Where else can you get two scrumptious meals and dessert for $21 after tipping?! Next stop, Copper Creek Brewery. We enjoyed numerous pints of their deliciousness, then walked (okay maybe a little stumbling) around downtown. We browsed our favorite shops and watched a little basketball tournament happening in the streets, then headed to campus. No visit to Athens is complete without walking the beautiful North Campus and ringing the chapel bell. After a nice stroll and watching some bocce ball in the Quad we headed back into downtown for a dinner at Amici. Yummy wings and calzones… Finally it was time to make our last stop of the day, Kelly’s Jerk. We were too full to eat, but Jamaican is always good later, Mon! Well, we successfully ate our way through Athens. I love this small city!
