Nashville Shores

Nashville, TN

Nashville Shores Lakeside Resort:  http://www.nashvilleshores.com/

Overview:  We really enjoyed this lakeside retreat.  It was outside the hustle and bustle of Nashville but only a short drive away.  Our lakeside site allowed us to watch the sunrise out our bedroom window and witness beautiful nature (herons, geese, fish).  The sunsets over the lake were also amazing!  It has a large fenced area for Wizard and he loved it.  I enjoyed my first match of tetherball, with Wade showing off his Napoleon Dynamite skills.  The waterpark was closed for the season during our stay, however it looked fun and discounted tickets are available during the operating season. There are trails to hike including an undeveloped peninsula where the sunsets are superb.  The sites are somewhat close, especially the fire pits, but during off-season the park purposely spreads out the campers.  We checked out several other Nashville campgrounds and were very satisfied with our decision.

Campsites:  Full hook-ups (30,50 Amp), level concrete parking pad, fairly close proximity but trees separate many sites, lakefront sites available

Amenities:  Camp store, coin laundry, bathhouse, playground, boat/jet-ski rental, discounted waterpark tickets, marina, Frisbee golf course, and hiking trails, boat ramp

Pet friendly:  Yes, with a large fenced in Dog Park.

Internet:  Decent Wi-Fi

Price:  $45-60/night

Rating: 4/5
