Choosing Jordanelle State Park as a resting place was well thought out and planned. The park is just minutes away from downtown Park City, which was one of the venues for the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Park City is a treat for visitors and a sanctuary for the rich who call this little winter town a great vacation spot. The town itself is more of a village and the slopes are right outside your doorstep. Literally.

Being about 45 minutes from the Salt Lake City Airport was also a plus because Kindy and Angie flew to NY. While Kin was away in the big city I was holding down the fort and feeding the animals. Being as I was within a few hundred feet from the lake it was not a bad location to pine away in. Mostly I walked the town, visited Salt Lake City on several occasions, walked the beast (aka Wizard), and got in some LIGHT reading. While in the park activities were bountiful, Sail-A-Palooza one weekend and visiting with the Griswold’s the next. Oh how the time flies.
Before Angie and I flew to New York, the three of us did have some fun in Park City. Namely, we ate at great restaurants and enjoyed the summertime activities at Park City Mountain Resort. We can never pass up an Alpine Slide! In addition, the resort also has an Alpine roller coaster! Now that was fun! In addition, we found Banksy street art in downtown Park City!
